What is a product tester?
A product tester is a verified consumer who finds a seller's listing through its target keywords, buys the product at full price, and uses it in real life. The seller funds the product cost and a reward into escrow before the campaign goes live; once your order ID is confirmed, that money is released to you. You keep the product. Whether you write anything about it afterwards is entirely up to you.
How testing works, step by step

Apply and get verified
Create a tester account with your marketplace buyer profile. A human reviews every application before it can claim anything — that vetting is what keeps the community worth being part of.

Claim a deal
Browse live campaigns and reserve one. The moment you claim it, the funds for your specific claim are locked by the seller and cannot be pulled back while you complete the purchase.

Find the product and buy it
Search the marketplace using the keywords listed on the deal, then buy the product at full price through your own account. It is a normal, genuine purchase — that is the whole point.

Submit your order ID
Paste the order ID into your claim. The seller confirms it against their own records, which is what unlocks your reimbursement.

Get reimbursed, keep the product
Once the order is confirmed, request your payout and it goes to your PayPal — the product cost back, plus any reward the seller attached to the campaign. What you tested is yours to keep.

What you are paid for

- Actually using the product
- Submitting a valid order ID so the seller can confirm it
What you are never paid for
- Writing a review — that is always your own choice
- Giving a particular rating, or saying anything positive
- Removing or editing something you have already posted

Tester questions
Who can become a product tester?
Anyone with an active marketplace buyer account in a supported region can apply. Supported regions today are the USA, UK, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, India, and the UAE. Every account is manually reviewed and verified before it can claim deals.
Do I have to pay for the product upfront?
Yes. You purchase the product normally on the marketplace — Amazon or Etsy, for example — so that it is a genuine, verified transaction. You are then reimbursed for the product cost plus your reward once the seller confirms your order.
Do I keep the products I test?
Yes. Products you test are yours to keep. You test them in real life, at home, the way any customer would.
Do I have to leave a review to get paid?
No. Your payout depends on completing the purchase and submitting a valid order ID — nothing else. Leaving a review is entirely optional, and neither the seller nor ReveuBuddy can condition your reimbursement on whether you review, or on what you say if you do.
Do I have to disclose that I was reimbursed?
If you choose to post publicly about a product you tested — a review, a video, a social post — FTC rules require you to clearly disclose that you received the product through a testing program or were reimbursed. Disclosure is simple, for example "I received this product through a product testing program", and it protects you. Posting is always your choice; disclosing when you do post is not optional.
What if the seller cancels the campaign after I claim a deal?
Once you claim a deal, the funds for that specific claim are locked. The seller cannot cancel your claim as long as you complete the purchase within the required timeframe.
Does it cost anything to be a tester?
No. There is no fee to apply, to be verified, or to claim deals. If a site asks you to pay to become a product tester, that is a scam — walk away.
